The program Digital Journalism is a modern academic program designed for those who want to work in today’s media environment. It combines classical principles of journalism, new media, multimedia storytelling, and work with digital platforms, integrating theory with practice of media content creation. The aim of the program is to train specialists who can effectively work with information, create high-quality digital content, and adapt to the rapidly changing media market.

— Proficiency in digital tools: Confident use of CMS, social media, search engines, mobile applications, and content publishing tools
— Multimedia content creation: Ability to write texts for online audiences, shoot and edit videos, record podcasts, and work with infographics and data visualization
— Fact-checking and critical thinking: Verifying information accuracy, detecting fake news, working with open sources (OSINT), and adhering to journalistic standards and ethics
— Analytical thinking and data skills: Analyzing large datasets, understanding statistics, and using digital analytics to assess audience interests and behavior
— Communication and adaptability: Interacting with audiences in comments and social media, quickly responding to changes in the news agenda, and mastering new formats and technologies.
— Government grants from the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan, as well as grants and discounts from media holdings “Alash Media Group (Tengry News)” and “Alatau Aqparat” (Almaty Akshamy, Vecherniy Almaty), and discounts from IITU Olympiads;
