- 1 an application addressed to the Chairperson of the Board and Rector of the University
- 2 Applicant questionnaire
- 3 Academic justification of the planned dissertation research, agreed with the proposed domestic or international academic supervisor (academic adviser)
- 4 Identity document (original for identification)
- 5 Bachelor's degree diploma — original and copy
- 6 Master's degree diploma — original and copy
- 7 Official certificate of Kazakh language proficiency (KAZTEST) — required if the applicant is not a native Kazakh speaker

Foreign language proficiency certificate:
English: IELTS Academic — at least 5.0; TOEFL ITP — at least 460; TOEFL iBT — at least 30; TOEIC — at least 500; Duolingo — at least 80
German: DSH — at least B1; TestDaF — at least B1; Goethe-Zertifikat — at least B1
French: TFI — at least 150 points; TEF — at least 90 points; DELF — at least A2; DALF — at least B1; TCF — at least 100 points - 9 a medical certificate in electronic format (Form 075/u), approved by Order No. KR DSM-175/2020, including a fluorography image issued within the last 12 months

- 11 Employment record document, certified with the organisation's seal and signature

Enrolment in the PhD programme on a fee-paying basis is based on an international certificate confirming foreign language proficiency in accordance with the Common European Framework of Reference (CEFR), and on the results of the entrance examination in the PhD programme group profile — with a score of at least 75 out of 100.
Enrolment in the PhD programme under the state educational grant on a competitive basis requires a score of at least 75 points on the entrance examination.
