The goal of the Department of Research is to develop, coordinate and analyze the research work of the University.

— Development of short-term and long-term plans for the University’s research and development (R&D) activities

— Coordination and analysis of the research activities of faculties, departments, and other structural units of the University in implementing research plans within the priority scientific areas

— Organization of the University’s participation in competitions for scientific programs and grants offered by the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan, other ministries and governmental bodies, and foundations, as well as competitions for prizes, scholarships, and individual awards; provision of консультации and support in the preparation of competitive documentation

— Coordination and maintenance of documentation related to fundamental, applied, and innovative research; preparation and submission of statistical data and reporting documentation on the Department’s activities upon request of regulatory authorities and relevant organizations

— Planning and organization of events aimed at strengthening the research activities of the University’s academic staff, including scientific and practical conferences, round tables, seminars, and other academic events; dissemination of information about scientific events organized by universities in Kazakhstan and abroad

— Organization of initiatives aimed at increasing the publication activity of University researchers in international peer-reviewed journals; collection and monitoring of information on publications and citation metrics of University researchers

— Publication and management of the scientific journal International Journal of Information and Communication Technologies

— Coordination and support of the registration of intellectual property results and other intellectual assets

— Development of regulatory and methodological documentation governing the University’s research activities

— Analysis of key indicators of the University’s research performance and preparation of analytical and reporting documentation on research activities.
