The Military Department of JSC IITU was established on December 5, 2018, in accordance with Order No. 843 of the Minister of Defense of the Republic of Kazakhstan. The University’s Military Department provides training for students to serve as reserve officers. Its main goal is to equip students with knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to defend the country and fulfill duties in the field of national security.

— Development and implementation of modern educational programs for training reserve officers and reserve sergeants in line with current requirements

— Organization and conduct of joint research with students in the field of national military security

— Involvement of students in military-patriotic activities.

Training reserve officers and reserve sergeants for the Armed Forces and other military formations of the Republic of Kazakhstan who are loyal to the President and Government, morally resilient, disciplined, capable of maintaining official and state secrets, possessing high ethical and moral standards, and equipped with knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary for the successful performance of their duties in accordance with their military registration specialty.
