The program Telecommunication Systems and Networks trains highly qualified specialists for innovative and high-tech sectors of the economy in the field of telecommunications, possessing theoretical and practical knowledge, skills, and competencies necessary for professional activities, meeting the demands of both domestic and global intellectual labor markets.

— Basic economics knowledge, understanding of management, marketing, finance, etc., and knowledge and understanding of the aims and methods of government regulation of the economy, the role of government sector in the economy
— Ability to solve analytical and computational problems related to electrical, radio engineering, and communication/data transmission networks
— Ability to generalize, analyze, perceive information, set goals, and choose ways to achieve them; critical thinking in evaluating research hypotheses; formulate arguments and solve problems in operation, maintenance, and servicing of telecommunication systems; ability to collect and interpret data considering social, ethical, and research aspects
— Ability to master maintenance and repair of technical and technological equipment and communication infrastructure
— Ability to apply advanced technologies in maintenance and repair of telecommunication systems using modern materials and diagnostic tools
— As part of this academic program, cooperation agreements have been signed with the following telecommunications companies to organize internships and pre-graduation practical training: JSC NC Kazakhstan Garysh Sapary, JSC Transtelecom, JSC Kazteleradio, JSC Astel, RSE State Technical Service, RSE State Radio Frequency Service, JSC Republican Space Communications Center, Institute of Space Engineering and Technology, LLP Mobile-Telecom Service, and others, ensuring students' practical training and subsequent employment.
— The academic program includes training in Cisco Academy courses with the opportunity to obtain international vendor certification. — To enhance students' practical training and improve their competitiveness, branches of the RET Department operate at the Republican Space Center, the Institute of Space Engineering and Technology, and RTEL GROUP LLP;
— Academic mobility agreements have been established with Halic University (Istanbul, Turkey), Schmalkalden University of Applied Sciences (Schmalkalden, Germany), Inha University (Republic of Korea), and several other universities;
— Extensive facilities include a number of specialized laboratories, such as Physics and Computer Modeling, Collective Radio Station, Fundamentals of Electronics and Telecommunications, Radio Communication Systems, Radio Engineering Devices, and others.
