Opening of the ELBA laboratory

Within the Erasmus+ ELBA project, a laboratory has opened at the International IT University. It is equipped with powerful modern computers, a broadcasting TV screen and software that will help students boost their productivity and solve big data analysis tasks. The opening was attended by vice-rectors, faculty, project participants and, via Zoom, representatives of several foreign universities. IITU vice-rectors Akkyz Mustafina and Yevgeniya Daineko officially opened the laboratory. Project coordinator Gulnara Zakirova briefly presented the project and its prospects. At the opening, certified IITU professors Aidos Sarsembayev, Lyazzat Naizabayeva and Yergali Dauletbek, who completed professional development at the University of Santiago de Compostela, held trainings for young researchers.

The main goal of the Erasmus+ ELBA project is to build capacity for training highly qualified specialists in Intelligent Big Data Analysis (IBDA) and to provide access to high-performance modern IBDA tools. The opening of the laboratory is a vivid example of every project participant doing their utmost to achieve this goal.
