A group of International Information Technology University faculty — Aidos Sarsembayev, Yergali Dauletbek and Lyazzat Naizabayeva — completed two-week big data courses in Spain at the University of Santiago de Compostela, the coordinator of the entire project. The professors upgraded their qualifications in the modern field of big data and are ready to develop new modules and pass on their skills to students and colleagues. The participants have already held a seminar for IITU faculty, sharing knowledge about text processing technologies used both in big data and in modern search engines. They also spoke about the CESGA Supercomputing Centre and the CiTIUS research centre of the University of Santiago de Compostela.
