Erasmus+ - is a European Union program that promotes the modernization and sustainable development of education, vocational training, youth policy and sport. It provides funding opportunities for cooperation in all of these areas, both among European countries (so-called Program Countries) and between European countries and partner countries around the world.
Erasmus+ offers four main opportunities for higher education institutions and individuals from Kazakhstan:

Capacity Building in Higher Education (CBHE) projects_ - are cross-border cooperation projects based on multilateral partnerships between higher education institutions from 34 Program Countries and more than 150 partner countries. Kazakhstan is one of the partner countries that may take part in this component of the program.
CBHE projects aim to address the following objectives:
- support the modernization, innovation and accessibility of higher education;
- improve the quality of higher education and its alignment with the needs of the labor market and society, ensure equal access to higher education, organize and plan teaching, run operational and strategic management of universities, and internationalize universities;
- promote cooperation between the EU and the relevant partner countries;
- raise competence levels through the development of new and innovative education programs;
- promote regional and interregional integration and cooperation among different regions of the world through joint initiatives and the exchange of best practices.
