The International Information Technology University is conducting an internal university selection for participation in the Second Republican Competition of Student Projects and Research, organized by the Association of Banks of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
Who Can Participate
The competition is open to:
- 3rd–4th year undergraduate students
- Master’s students
- Individual participants or teams of up to 2 people
Competition Tracks
AI for Finance
Credit scoring, Anti-Fraud, LLM services, risk forecasting, and other AI solutions for the financial sector.
Cybersecurity
Phishing detection, behavioral analytics, SOC tools, payment security, and protection of financial information systems.
FinTech & Payments
P2P payments, BNPL, microfinance, Open Banking APIs, and other payment solutions.
Digital Banking Solutions
Banking process automation, KYC/AML, RegTech, and digital customer services.
Crypto / Blockchain
Tokenization, custody, compliance, and other solutions for the crypto industry.
Projects outside these tracks may also be submitted if they are relevant to the competition theme and can be applied in banking, finance, investment, or the crypto industry.

You may submit:
- Research projects
- Thesis and academic research projects
- MVPs and prototypes
- Analytical solutions and algorithms
- Startup projects
- Projects currently under development

Application Deadline
September 30, 2026, inclusive
After the preliminary review, selected participants will present their projects to the IITU expert jury.
Based on the results of the internal selection, one team will be selected to represent IITU at the Republican Competition.

Prize Fund
- 1st place — ₸500,000
- 2nd place — ₸350,000
- 3rd place — ₸200,000
