Almaty, September 24, 2026. The International Information Technology University hosted a series of open events delivered by Valentin Malykh, Professor of the Department of Digital and Intelligent Systems. The events focused on modern approaches to software development and intelligent text processing.
On September 23, Professor Malykh conducted the workshop “Vibe Coding Workshop.” Participants explored the capabilities of modern AI tools for software development and saw, through a practical demonstration, how these technologies can be used to create websites and applications. Particular attention was given to how students and beginner developers can apply such tools in practice.
On September 24, an open lecture titled "DiffIE: Diffusion-based Open Information Extraction" took place, focusing on the potential application of diffusion-based language models for extracting facts and structured information from text.
The events were attended by IITU students, doctoral students, and faculty members. Such meetings provide the university community with an opportunity to learn about current research in artificial intelligence and modern software development tools, while also promoting academic and professional exchange.
