The International Information Technology University (IITU) and the National Accreditation Center (NAC) under the Committee for Technical Regulation and Metrology Ministry of Trade and Integration of the Republic of Kazakhstan signed a Memorandum of Understanding. The document was signed by IITU’s Chairman of the Board – Rector Assylbek Issakhov and NAC’s General Director Iskander Khamitov.
The parties agreed to cooperate in the field of accreditation of conformity assessment bodies, support the alignment with international standards, enhance human capacity, and promote the development of Kazakhstan’s quality infrastructure.
The memorandum outlines:
- organization of joint seminars, meetings, and training programs to improve professional qualifications;
- information exchange on current issues in the field of accreditation;
- expert collaboration and participation in professional activities;
- promotion of transparency, impartiality, and confidence in conformity assessment processes.
This partnership opens up new opportunities to engage IITU students and researchers in practical projects related to accreditation and technical regulation. The university continues to expand its cooperation with government agencies and national quality institutions.
The signing of the memorandum is an important step in promoting a culture of quality and increasing trust in Kazakhstan's conformity assessment systems.
