EMU-PMG REMS Summarized the Results of the 2025–2026 Academic Year

On June 29, 2026, the International University of Information Technologies hosted the final online meeting for the 2025–2026 academic year of the Educational and Methodological Union – Project Management Group of the Republican Educational and Methodological Council (EMU-PMG REMS) in the training areas 061 "Information and Communication Technologies" and 063 "Information Security".

The meeting was attended by representatives of higher and postgraduate education organizations of the Republic of Kazakhstan holding membership in the EMU, heads of educational programs, faculty members, and industry experts.

The final meeting served as a platform to review the performance of the EMU for the 2025–2026 academic year. During the session, participants addressed current issues in the development of the training system for ICT and information security, and discussed modern approaches to improving educational programs, implementing innovative educational technologies, and exchanging best practices among universities.

Particular attention was paid to the outcomes of the EMU's activities over the past academic year. During the reporting period, the union carried out systematic work on the expert and methodological support of educational programs, the organization of professional interaction between universities, the formulation of recommendations for curriculum development, the review of educational publications, and the transformation of higher education amid rapid advancements in digital technologies.

Following the meeting, the report on the activities of EMU-PMG REMS for the 2025–2026 academic year was approved, recommendations for the further development of educational and methodological work were adopted, and the priority areas for the union's activities in the new academic year were outlined. Additionally, it was decided to recommend an educational manual for publication with the endorsement stamp (grif) of EMU REMS.

In conclusion, the participants noted that the EMU's activities contribute to the consolidation of the academic community, the dissemination of best practices among higher and postgraduate education institutions, and the enhancement of the quality of training specialists in ICT and information security. In the new academic year, the EMU will continue its work, taking into account the modern challenges of digital transformation, the development of artificial intelligence, and the updated labor market requirements for graduates.
