Professor, Candidate of Historical Sciences

International journalist, political scientist, media and PR manager, teacher. Born on March 8, 1944 in Kaunas (Lithuanian SSR, now the Republic of Lithuania).

Graduated from the Faculty of Journalism of Lomonosov Moscow State University and postgraduate studies at the Academy of Social Sciences under the Central Committee of the CPSU (now - the Russian Academy of National Economy and Public Administration under the President of the Russian Federation). He has been working on television and radio since 1967 - over 30 years in the USSR State Television and Radio Broadcasting System and VGTRK, he has gone through all stages of a journalistic career: from the editor of the department of joint filming with foreign countries and the special reporter of the international department of “Mayak” radio station to the foreign policy commentator of Inovation.

1976-1981 - Head of the bureau of the USSR State Television and Radio Broadcasting in North Africa (Algeria).

1985-1997 - Head of the bureau of the State Television and Radio Broadcasting Company, and then of the bureau of the All-Russian State Television and Radio Broadcasting Company in Western Europe (Brussels).

1997-2001 - Deputy General Director of "Resurrection" newspaper and magazine association, Deputy Minister for Press and Information of the Government of the Moscow Region, Assistant to the Deputy Chairman of the State Duma.

2001 to 2003 - worked as the Director of the Achema Group media holding (Lithuania).

2004-2006 - Deputy General Director of the Intermedia-M PR agency. He combined his work in the field of PR with work as Deputy Chairman of the executive committee of the Russian Party of Workers' Self-Government (RPST), founded by the famous ophthalmologist Academician S. Fedorov.

2006-2012 - Assistant to the Deputy chairman of the Federation Council Committee on Federation Affairs and Regional Policy, Head of the media section of the Expert Council of this committee. State Councilor of the Russian Federation, 2nd class.

In 2009 he created and headed the regional public organization "Union of Lithuanians". Member of the International Advisory Council under the Moscow Government, member of the Public Council of the Moscow House of Nationalities. In 2014, he was awarded the honorary badge “For personal contribution to strengthening interethnic unity”.

From September 2012 to the present - Head of the Department of Internet and Radio Journalism, Professor of the Academy of Media Industry.

Kipras Mazheika is a full member of the Russian Academy of Natural Sciences (section "Mass media and society"), member of the International Federation of Journalists, member of the Union of Journalists of Russia, Deputy General Director of the magazine "Our Power: Affairs and Persons" and Laureate of the prize of the State Committee for Defense Industry of Russia "For the creation of information projects that contribute to the preservation of the country's defense potential" (1995).

He has repeatedly headed the jury of various television competitions and festivals.

Fluent in French and Lithuanian, speaks English and Polish.
