Course description
One of the main goals of the discipline is to reveal the role of the mass media in the formation of the political image, to understand that a modern political leader needs legitimation - recognition and trust from the people through the electoral process. Without political legitimacy, any modern political authority, be it a prime minister or a president, will not be effective. Therefore, every candidate for political power must have a political image, which is mainly created by the media.
. Students will study the role of all modern media, especially in the electoral process, where the creation of a political image is a major part of the election campaign. Students who successfully complete the course will be able to:
• learn to use analytical tools for covering political topics,
• to see how modern information technologies influence electoral processes and the formation of a political image,
• study the main stages and forms of creating a political image
