On September 4, 2025, the World Finals of the ICPC (International Collegiate Programming Contest) took place in Baku. ICPC is the largest and most prestigious international programming competition for university students. Each year, more than 30,000 universities worldwide participate in the qualifying rounds, and only about 140 of the strongest teams earn the right to advance to the World Finals.
This year, Kazakhstan was proudly represented by the team “Natural Intelligence” from the International IT University (IITU). Competing against the world’s leading universities, the IITU students solved 7 out of 12 complex problems and achieved 61st place, surpassing more than 70 prestigious university teams.
For this achievement, the team was awarded the honorable Honors distinction.

Under the leadership of Eskendir Sultanov, IITU has qualified for the ICPC World Finals for seven consecutive years, consistently ranking among the best teams in the CIS.
This result is not only a personal victory for the participants but also a significant achievement for Kazakhstan’s academic and IT community. It highlights the high level of training at IITU and the country’s potential in advancing digital technologies and world-class education.
