About the University Academic Council

The Academic Council of JSC "International Information Technology University" is a governing body responsible for addressing matters related to the university's educational, research, and methodological activities. The activities of the Academic Council are based on the principles of collective and free discussion, with decisions made in open sessions.

Academic Council meetings are held monthly, with extended sessions conducted twice a year involving all faculty members and university staff. During the first meeting of the academic year, the Academic Council's work plan is approved.

The draft agenda for the Academic Council meetings at IITU is prepared by the academic secretary based on proposals from council members and heads of relevant departments and is then submitted to the Chairman of the Academic Council for review. After approval, responsible individuals are assigned to prepare materials for the agenda items, and a preliminary meeting date is set. These individuals must submit the prepared materials to the academic secretary at least ten days before the meeting in both electronic and printed formats. Additional Academic Council meetings may be scheduled as needed.

The members of the IITU Academic Council

The University Academic Council includes the rector, vice-rector, heads of structural units, representatives of the faculty and student government. Its members are elected at the general meeting of the University by secret ballot. The AC consists of an odd number of members (currently there are 33 of them) who are elected for a period of 3 years. Individual changes may be made if it is necessary.
