About the University Academic Council
The Academic Council of International Information Technology University JSC (AC) is the governing body in charge of its educational, research and methodological activities. The activity of the University Academic Council is based on the principles of collective free discussion and resolution of issues at open meetings.
AC meetings are held every month, an extended meeting is held twice a year with the participation of all the teaching staff and employees of the University. At the first meeting, the AC work plan for the academic year is approved.
The draft agenda of the meeting of the IITU Academic Council is formed by the Scientific Secretary based on the proposals of the members of the Council and the heads of interested departments and is submitted for consideration to the AC Chairman. After that, the persons responsible for the preparation of materials on the issues on the agenda are appointed, and a preliminary date for the AC meeting is established. The responsible persons prepare these materials and submit them to the Scientific Secretary no later than ten days before the date of the respective AC meeting in the electronic and printed forms. Additional meetings of the IITU Academic Council may be appointed whenever necessary.
The members of the IITU Academic Council
The University Academic Council includes the rector, vice-rector, heads of structural units, representatives of the faculty and student government. Its members are elected at the general meeting of the University by secret ballot. The AC consists of an odd number of members (currently there are 31 of them) who are elected for a period of 3 years. Individual changes may be made if it is necessary.
