IITU is the only university in Kazakhstan that received the ASIIN institutional international accreditation in 2019 and passed the procedure of official confirmation of compliance with international standards.

"The International University of Information Technology guarantees the fulfillment of institutional, procedural and cultural requirements for high-quality teaching and successful learning," experts from ASIIN (Agency for Accreditation of Educational Programs in Engineering, Computer Science, Natural Sciences and Mathematics, Germany) confirm.

For 10 years of development, IITU has been able to firmly enter the ranking of the best technical universities in the country. The University is constantly working to improve the quality of educational services, provides a high potential of the teaching staff.

In December 2019, according to the rating of the National Chamber of Entrepreneurs "Atameken", IITU entered the TOP 3 universities of Kazakhstan, as well as the first place in such educational programs as "information systems" and "electronic journalism".

The direction of training specialists in "information security" in the IITU is one of the strongest in Kazakhstan.

The modern infrastructure of the university, the harmonization of educational programs with leading international universities contribute to the dynamic growth of the contingent of students. At the moment, more than 5,000 students are studying at IITU in bachelor's, master's and PhD doctoral programs. The University is forming a new generation of ICT specialists with knowledge of industry technologies, advanced management, economics and communication skills with in-depth knowledge of English.

In 2018, in accordance with the Order of the Minister of Defense of the Republic of Kazakhstan, a military department specializing in the training of cybersecurity specialists was opened at the IITU, and a Cybersecurity Competence Center also operates.

IITU partners are international universities and scientific and educational organizations of the USA, Germany, Russia, France, Switzerland, Korea, Malaysia, China, etc.

The existing academic mobility allows students to gain knowledge and international experience by studying during a semester at partner universities of the University.

University teachers are particularly proud of the fact that after graduating from IITU, the percentage of employed graduates is always consistently high: about 90% of the total.

IITU pays special attention to the development of personal qualities, leadership skills and creative abilities of students. Active and creative students independently conduct various events to make their student life bright and unforgettable, lead projects that cause admiration and surprise.

IITU has a Student Government that heads more than 20 student organizations, among them: "Union" – a charity organization, "League of IT" – a football organization, "Tigers" – a creative organization, "ShadowS" – a dance club, "Music Club" – a music club, "Debate Club" – a debate club, "Enactus" – business organization, "IITU Family" – volunteer organization, "Anteiku" – anime club, "IT FM – student radio, "Cinema club" – cinema club, "IT Theatre" – theater club, "Ray's Sup", "Light Studio" – media organizations, national team KVN IITU, "FOREVER YOUNG" – Design, Ignorance and Art. We also have our own Ministry of Culture, Ministry of PR and Security Service.
