IT Expert Conducted a Number Of Trainings in Akelius Languages in Shymkent
On May 20-21, 2022, IITU IT specialist Altynbek Nazarbay, during a visit to Shymkent, conducted trainings on Akelius languages in three schools in the city, which are participants in a pilot project to improve the literacy of children aged 5 to 17 who do not speak Russian.
Altynbek Nazarbai visited three educational institutions: secondary school No. 39 named after Magzhan Zhumabaev, school-gymnasium No. 50 and secondary school No. 76 named after Ryzbek Myrzashev. As part of the training, he answered all the questions of teachers regarding the use of gadgets and platforms in lessons from the technical side.
The course, which is being implemented by the Akelius Foundation, UNICEF and IITU specialists, is aimed at improving the literacy of children who find it difficult to adapt to the school curriculum. This course has been ongoing in Kazakhstan since September 2021 in nine pilot schools. It is expected that by the end of the project (February 2023), 250 children will have completed this course. Now on the Akelius platform, levels A0, A1, A1.1, A2 (basic) and B0 (intermediate) are available.
