On September 10, 2024, a meeting with an expert on the prevention of extremism and terrorism was held at the International University of Information Technology (IITU), organized by the Youth Policy Department and the Department of Religious Affairs of Almaty. Ph.D. in Philosophy, Zhanna Kantarbaeva, spoke about the spread of extremism, the involvement of youth in radical groups, and the use of social media for promoting extremist ideologies. Students actively discussed methods of counteracting online recruitment and the importance of a critical approach to information. The expert recommended using only official sources and following online safety rules. She also emphasized the crucial aspect of separating education from religion and the role of legislation in the fight against terrorism.
