From March 31 to April 2, 2026, an international workshop was held in Almaty at the International Information Technology University (IITU) as part of the Erasmus+ KA2 Capacity Building project “Development of Innovative Graduate Educational Program in Cyber Security for Digital Labor Market of Central Asia.”
The event aimed to enhance and develop educational programs in cybersecurity in line with the demands of the digital labor market, as well as to strengthen academic cooperation between higher education institutions in Central Asia and the European Union.
The workshop brought together representatives of universities and partner organizations from Spain, Italy, Romania, Uzbekistan, and Kyrgyzstan.
During the workshop, participants discussed plans for developing cybersecurity educational programs in Central Asian universities, as well as modern approaches to curriculum design and teaching methodologies.
Special attention was given to:
- presentation of analytical research results within the project;
- exchange of best practices in educational program development;
- discussion of interim survey results aimed at assessing public demand and awareness;
- development of practical recommendations for further project implementation.
As a result of the workshop, participants reached a shared vision of the next stages of work, identified priority areas for the development of educational programs, and agreed on subsequent steps for project implementation.
The implementation of this project contributes to improving the quality of cybersecurity education and fostering an educational environment that meets the current challenges of the digital economy.
