Information and awareness activities on the prevention of tick-borne encephalitis conducted at IITU

On April 24, 2026, information and awareness activities on the prevention of tick-borne encephalitis were held at the military department of IITU.


The purpose of the event was to increase the level of awareness among students and cadets about tick-borne encephalitis, its modes of transmission and main clinical manifestations, as well as to emphasize the importance of preventive measures.


During the event, general practitioner Mynzhasarova Moldir Abaiqyzy provided detailed information on the etiology of tick-borne encephalitis, its routes of transmission, clinical manifestations, and preventive measures.


In addition, healthcare worker Ruzubakieva Gulmira Rakhimovna conducted explanatory work on safety precautions in daily life and when staying in nature, methods of protection against tick bites, as well as the procedure for providing first aid in case of a tick bite.


During the event, participants were active, asked questions, and received comprehensive answers.


At the end of the event, the specialists noted that such information and awareness activities play an important role in the prevention of socially significant diseases.
