April 4, 2026 – The staff and students of IITU held a large-scale community cleanup (subbotnik) as part of the "Taza Qazaqstan" nationwide campaign, aimed at fostering an ecological culture.

The primary goal of the event was to contribute to environmental protection, maintain city cleanliness, and promote ecological responsibility among the youth. More than 200 active students, faculty members, and administrative staff participated in the cleanup.

During the campaign, the following activities were carried out:

• The university campus and surrounding areas were cleared of debris;
• Greenery maintenance and tree trunk whitewashing were performed;
• A mini eco-challenge titled "The Cleanest Zone" was organized among student organizations.

The IITU community consistently supports such initiatives and plans to continue participating in environmental campaigns in the future.
