On February 23, 2025, the SBA-CUP 2025 tournament was held in the sports hall of JSC "IITU", bringing together the strongest student teams that demonstrated skill, team spirit, and a strong determination to win. A total of 80-90 students participated in the tournament, making it a significant event in the university's sports life.

The official opening ceremony began with the performance of the National Anthem, followed by welcoming speeches from Vice-Rector Dauren Dyussebayev and representative of the Almaty City Branch of the Democratic Party "Ak Zhol", Khamza Nasrullaev.

The tournament results were as follows:
1st place – Ballerinas
2nd place – Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles
3rd place – Ankara
