Nauryz Fest IITU 2026: A Symbiosis of Traditions and Innovations
16.04.2026

The festive event "Nauryz Fest IITU 2026" was held at a high level at the International Information Technology University. This year, the celebration of Nauryz meiramy took place in a unique format, harmoniously combining national values with modern technological achievements.

The program began with a theatrical performance "Kosh" and a blessing from Kydyr ata. The event was attended by honorary guests who delivered congratulatory speeches: Deputy Akim of the Bostandyk District Kenesbay Almaz Abayuly, Chairman of the Bostandyk District Branch of the "AMANAT" Party Saben Tynyshqali Toregaliuly, Chairman of the Almaty Students Alliance Aybolat Sembiyev, Head of the Department of the Almaty City Social Development Office Bakhytgul Tekhnikovna Kassymetova, as well as members of the Alumni Association Amanbek Kuanyshbek and Aybolat Kulatay Aiboluly. As part of the holiday, active students and staff members who contributed to public life were awarded letters of appreciation.

The main sensation of the holiday was the innovative developments by the students of the Faculty of IT and Engineering. Guests were served by an automated robot-coffee machine, which prepared coffee completely autonomously without human intervention. Another surprise was the virtual yurt: using VR glasses, everyone could take a tour of the interior of a Kazakh yurt and explore national ornaments in a 360-degree format. Such a digital solution made it possible to convey the nomadic culture in a modern language understandable to the youth.

The best talents of the university performed on stage. The concert program was adorned by the national instrumental ensemble "Qazyna" and the dance group "Shadows". Madina Myrzakhankyzy and Yeldar Sabit performed the song "Nauryz-Duman", Zhenis Yermashov presented a modern composition, while traditional singers Bekzat Atret and Madiyar Bolatkhan performed the songs "Moldabaydyn ani" and "Bayanauyl". Second-year student Bagzhan Orazbek presented an original rap composition, and the culmination of the evening was the performance of the vocal and instrumental ensemble "AUEN". At the end of the event, guests tasted nauryz-kozhe, baursaks, and pilaf, and also took part in national games: asyk atu, lyangi, togyzkumalak, and bes asyk, immersing themselves in the atmosphere of traditions and capturing moments in photos with batyrs and berkutchis (eagle hunters).
