On February 25, 2025, an explanatory meeting on the new Constitution was held at the International Information Technology University within the framework of the National Coalition "For the People's Constitution of a Just and Progressive Kazakhstan".
The purpose of the meeting was to explain the content of the constitutional reforms, strengthen the principles of the rule of law, and discuss the significance of the changes taking place in society.
The event featured the following speakers: Karlygash Rakhymzhanovna Useinova, Head of the Department of the Faculty of Law at Al-Farabi Kazakh National University; Dmitry Nikolaevich Lyaktyushin, Chairman of the Commission of the Public Council of Almaty; and Akkyz Kurakovna Mustafina, Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs of the university.
The meeting was held in an open dialogue format with the participation of university staff and faculty members. Ashat Tolepbergen, Chairman of the Youth Affairs Committee, spoke on behalf of the youth, noting the importance of the constitutional changes (students did not participate).
At the end of the event, Katerina Viktorovna Kolesnikova, Chairperson of the Management Board and Acting Rector of the university, delivered the closing remarks, emphasizing the role of the reforms under the new Constitution in the development of the country and the enhancement of legal culture.
