Psychological Health Week at IITU: Summary of Events for Students and Staff

From April 20 to 24, 2026, a series of events aimed at supporting the psychological well-being of students and university staff was organized and held at IITU.


April 20: Individual psychological consultations organized by UIB psychology interns were held in the main building (foyer) from 10:00 to 13:00. Students had the opportunity to discuss personal issues and receive professional support.


April 21: Adilya Rinatovna, a clinical psychologist from the "Qamqor" clinic, delivered a lecture on the topic: "Student Anxiety: Practical Self-Regulation Techniques in Studies and Life." Students were introduced to effective techniques for reducing anxiety and managing stress.


April 23: Two informative meetings were held specifically for the university staff:
Psychiatrist Tamara Abubakirovna Assimova — "Myths and Reality About Psychiatrists: The Role of Psychiatry in Overcoming Emotional Burnout."
Psychologist Saltanat Yusufovna Nurpeisova — "Psychological Well-being of Employees: Stress Prevention and Resource Preservation."


April 24: IITU psychologists organized an online meeting with university psychologists and a psychiatrist to discuss the development of a unified algorithm for dealing with suicidal behavior. Additionally, throughout the week, psychology interns conducted surveys and video interviews on various topics related to psychological well-being.


Conclusion: The organized events contributed to raising awareness about mental health issues, developing practical self-regulation skills, and strengthening the overall psychological well-being of both students and staff at the university.
