On May 26, 2026, SDU University hosted the annual forum of the Academic Integrity League titled “Building Trust in Higher Education,” dedicated to the 8th anniversary of the organization.
K.V. Kolesnikova, Acting Chairperson of the Management Board of the International Information Technology University, took part in the forum, reaffirming the university’s commitment to the principles of academic integrity and the development of a transparent educational environment.
The Academic Integrity League (Akademiialyq Adaldyq Ligasy) is one of the leading associations of higher education institutions in Kazakhstan, aimed at strengthening the principles of transparency, fairness, ethics, and trust within the higher education system.
During the panel sessions, participants discussed current challenges facing the academic community, including the impact of digitalization and the rapid development of artificial intelligence. Special attention was given to issues of academic integrity control, the use of digital analytics tools in universities, and the development of a sustainable institutional culture.
The forum also presented the results of post-monitoring analytics of the League’s activities, key directions for the development of its ecosystem, and outcomes of work on academic integrity standards for schools and colleges.
An official meeting of the League’s General Assembly was also held, during which applications for membership were reviewed and the Guidelines for the Use of Artificial Intelligence were approved.
IITU’s participation in such initiatives highlights its commitment to advancing academic integrity and implementing modern educational practices.
