The IITU Debate Club held a national tournament "IITU Debate Cup X", which became a landmark anniversary event in its activity. It was attended by 32 student and school teams from different regions, as well as the cities of Astana and Almaty.

At the opening of the event the Chief Judge of the debate tournament Nadezhda Geldt and activists of the debate club of IITU, as well as the VIE of the student association "Acep" with a musical congratulation of the participants performed.

During two days, the debaters competed in the mastery of words, the ability to argue a point of view, logic and public speaking on topical issues. The qualifying stage and the finals were dynamic, interesting and emotional. As a result of the tournament, the team consisting of Alibek Haidar (MAB) and Madina Railova (NU) won. Arthur Babidov (AUES) was recognized as the best speaker, and the judge - Almas Magpoz (KazNU), whose objectivity and professionalism were noted by all participants.

Amina Nurasheva and Aruzhan Alpysova won the finals for novice debaters, and Dilyara Serikbayeva (SDU) was recognized as the best speaker among young participants. Alisher Mahmut (KIMEP) and Amir Undasyn (KazADI), Diana Matveeva (ENU) and Artur Babidov (AUES), Alexander Marinenko (High Tech Academy) and Daniyar Baimagambetov (NU) also became the winners of the tournament. They were awarded cups and diplomas, as well as cash prizes.

The participants of the tournament thanked the organizers for the high level of preparation of the event, creative and friendly atmosphere, as well as the opportunity to get acquainted with IITU, which became a platform for strengthening the interaction of debaters from different universities, exchange of experience and ideas.
