Representatives of the International Information Technology University (IITU) took part in the large-scale environmental campaign “Halyk Ormany”, held in the Ile-Alatau National Park.
The initiative aims to restore Kazakhstan’s forests affected by fires and deforestation and to promote environmental awareness among youth.

Volunteers, students, schoolchildren, representatives of state institutions, and the Halyk Foundation jointly planted about 700 conifer seedlings.

The national project is implemented by the Halyk Foundation in cooperation with the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of Kazakhstan. Over the next five years, 1 billion tenge will be allocated to plant more than 4 million trees across the country.

The first stage began in the “Semey Ormany” forest reserve in the Abai region, where more than 800,000 seedlings were planted. The next stage involved planting 14,000 fir trees in the Ile-Alatau National Park.

The project not only improves the ecosystem but also fosters environmental values among citizens — each tree symbolizes care for the future and love for the homeland.
IITU supports initiatives aimed at environmental protection and the sustainable development of Kazakhstan.
