We are pleased to announce the signing of a Memorandum of Cooperation between IITU and Zhejiang A&F University (ZAFU)! This partnership covers student exchange programs, joint scientific research, and the development of educational programs in the field of information technology. Our collaboration aims to foster innovative approaches to education and integrate modern technologies into various industries.
Zhejiang A&F University (ZAFU) is one of China's leading universities, successfully combining agricultural and information technologies. The university actively engages in sustainable development, environmental research, and bioengineering, creating unique educational and scientific projects that integrate traditional sciences with digital technologies. ZAFU plays a crucial role in promoting innovative solutions for a sustainable future.
During the meeting, discussions were held on launching joint educational programs based on the 2+2, 3+1, and 4+1 models. Additionally, ZAFU proposed submitting joint applications for grant funding from the Chinese government. Other topics included organizing joint mathematics and programming competitions, as well as collaboration in PhD training. Moreover, both universities expressed interest in organizing a summer school, aimed at cultural exchange and attracting applicants from African and Asian countries.
As a result of the meeting, a Memorandum of Understanding was signed, laying the foundation for long-term cooperation.
This partnership will provide IITU students with new opportunities for learning and research while strengthening ties between Kazakhstan and China in technology and sustainable development. Key areas of cooperation include the development of dual-degree programs for undergraduate and graduate students, the organization of a summer school for 20–50 students, the establishment of joint research laboratories, and the formation of a united student team for international competitions. Furthermore, collaboration with Alibaba is planned to expand professional and academic prospects.
