As part of a working visit to Seoul, the International Information Technology University (IITU) signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the Seoul Media Institute of Technology (SMIT).
The agreement establishes a joint 4+1 Master’s program in Cybersecurity, allowing IITU graduates to pursue an accelerated one-year master’s degree at SMIT in Seoul and earn an internationally recognized qualification in information security.
The memorandum was signed by Dr. Assylbek Issakhov, Rector of IITU, and Professor Hee Han, President of SMIT.
This partnership aims to train skilled professionals with practical competencies and a global vision of cybersecurity challenges. It reflects the shared commitment of both institutions to fostering academic mobility, applied education, and international cooperation in IT and media technologies.
We believe this agreement will open new opportunities for students and strengthen educational ties between Kazakhstan and the Republic of South Korea.
