On August 1, the International Information Technology University (IITU) hosted the official signing of a Memorandum of Understanding with the Almaty branch of the Autonomous Cluster Fund “Almaty Hub.”
The event was attended by Yerzhan Tasmukhan, CEO of Almaty Hub, and Assylbek Issakhov, Chairman of the Board – Rector of IITU.
The purpose of the document is to develop joint projects in robotics, 3D printing, unmanned aerial vehicles, space technologies, ESG, and IT innovations, to support startups, as well as to implement educational initiatives and train specialists.
Within the framework of the Memorandum, the parties agreed to cooperate in the following areas:
- organizing internships and project-based practice for students and young professionals
- implementing research projects and educational programs
- promoting ESG principles among startups and technology companies
- developing joint acceleration programs with industrial partners
In addition, IITU has been officially recognized as a business incubation and acceleration center (hub) among the universities of Almaty. The university will provide an ecosystem for the development of student startups, methodological resources, and a coordination platform.
This meeting marked the beginning of a long-term strategic partnership, within which the parties agreed to work together on specific projects.
