The International Information Technology University (IITU) has become a participant in the international Cyber4CA (Cybersecurity for Central Asia) project, funded under the Erasmus+ programme. Within this initiative, IITU joins a consortium of leading universities from Europe and Central Asia and has received a grant from the European Commission. The grant holder is the Tashkent University of Information Technologies (Uzbekistan), and the project coordinator from IITU is Dr. Gulmira Demeshevna Zakirova.
The three-year project aims to modernize educational programs in cybersecurity. It includes updating curricula to meet European standards, introducing new courses, enhancing faculty qualifications, and developing modern educational infrastructure. These efforts will equip universities in the region to train professionals capable of addressing digital security challenges in a rapidly evolving technological environment.
IITU’s participation in Cyber4CA represents a significant step towards strengthening international cooperation and improving the quality of education. The project will contribute to the university’s academic growth and foster lasting partnerships with international institutions, opening new opportunities for students and faculty in the field of cybersecurity and information technologies.
