About THE Impact Rankings
The THE Impact Rankings are compiled annually by the reputable British publication Times Higher Education. This unique ranking assesses universities in the context of implementing the global UN 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development. Unlike traditional academic rankings, the Impact Rankings focus not on research output alone, but on the comprehensive efforts of universities to promote values such as inclusion, environmental sustainability, social equity, and international cooperation.
Universities are evaluated based on four key areas: institutional governance, policies and strategies; relevant research output; external engagement (including collaboration with governmental and non-governmental organizations); and educational and awareness-raising initiatives aligned with specific SDGs.
