From 5 to 8 November 2024, at IITU within the framework of the project “Development of competencies and promotion of French experience in water resources management in Central Asia” organized by the Ministry of Europe and Foreign Affairs of France and the Embassy of France in Kazakhstan, was a specialized workshop on “Global hydrological modeling using GARDÉNIA software” .
At the beginning of the seminar with a welcoming speech to the main speakers Luc Arnaud, hydrogeologist BRGM and Fabrice Neveu, Consul General of France in Kazakhstan, was addressed by Evgenia Alexandrovna Daineko, Vice-Rector for Global Partnership and Additional Education of JSC "IITU".
During the training, leading specialists from Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan studied key aspects of global hydrological modeling: from rainfall to water table, applying the balance “rainfall - river runoff - water table”.
This workshop was an important step in strengthening international cooperation and knowledge sharing in the field of water resources, which is especially relevant for Central Asia.
