On December 12, 2024, the International Information Technology University held an extended meeting of the Academic Council. The event was dedicated to summarizing the first 100 days of work by the Chairman of the Board – Rector Assylbek Abdiashimovich Issakhov, who presented a report highlighting the university's key achievements and strategic development directions.
In the academic sphere, active efforts are being made to optimize educational programs, complete accreditations, and enhance the quality of education. The introduction of modern standards and the implementation of recommendations from accreditation bodies were emphasized as priority objectives.
The university has set an ambitious goal — to become a significant player in the international education arena. To this end, partnerships with leading foreign universities, such as HOF University in Germany and the University of Genoa in Italy, are actively being developed. Expanding dual degree programs and academic mobility provides students with competitive advantages in the global labor market. Additionally, negotiations are underway for new collaborative scientific and educational projects aimed at addressing pressing global challenges such as cybersecurity and artificial intelligence.
In the field of research, the university aims to actively participate in international and national grant competitions. Special attention will be given to developing innovative solutions and enhancing publication activities.
Digital transformation is recognized as a key priority. The university has begun automating business processes, implementing biometric access systems, and introducing other technologies to create a more modern and convenient educational environment.
The university organizes events for students, expands psychological support, and strengthens sports and cultural initiatives. These aspects are viewed as important elements in creating a harmonious educational environment.
One significant achievement was the acquisition of the "Baizak" business center building, which will greatly expand the university's capabilities. However, renovation and technical upgrades of the facility remain major challenges, aiming to create comfortable conditions for learning and working.
After the report, a Question&Answer session was held. Faculty members raised questions about social support for young lecturers, infrastructure, and technical issues. Special attention was paid to digitalization, including improving the Face-ID system and transitioning to electronic document management. The rector responded to all questions, issued relevant directives to the vice-rectors for prompt implementation, and announced that starting from the spring semester, he is ready to hold regular meetings with faculty to foster trust between the university leadership, faculty, and students.
In conclusion, Assylbek A. Issakhov emphasized that the collective efforts of all university staff and students are directed toward achieving a common goal — transforming the International Information Technology University into the best university in the country.
