Annual traditional Spartakiad among university faculty and staff

In the current year, from January 12 to 16, 2026, the traditional “Health” Spartakiad was held, bringing together eight representative teams from the university’s structural divisions and departments. Over the course of the week, participants competed in six sports: basketball, mini-football (futsal), volleyball, table tennis, chess, and Togyzqumalaq.

At the award ceremony, welcoming remarks were delivered by the Vice-Rector for Digitalization and Innovation, Nurzhan Tokkuzhayevich Duzbayev. In his address, he emphasized that the main value of the Spartakiad lies not only in achieving sporting results, but also in active participation, positive emotions, the joy of the game, and the strengthening of corporate unity within the university community.

As part of the ceremony, certificates and valuable prizes were awarded to the winners and prizewinners of the individual sports events, the overall team standings, and the best players.

Following the results of the Spartakiad, the “Champion” team became the overall winner and was awarded the main trophy. The team included faculty members and staff from the Department of Economics and Business and the Department of Information Systems.

Second place was taken by the “Rectorate” team, which brought together employees of the Rector’s Office, the Department of Marketing and Image Policy, the Department of Educational and Social Affairs, and the Career Center.

Third place was won by the “Dostyk” team, represented by faculty members from the Department of Mathematical Computer Modeling and the Department of Computer Engineering.

The Organizing Committee expresses its gratitude to all participants, organizers, and supporters for their active involvement and for creating the atmosphere of a true sporting celebration.
