A meeting with the financial monitoring agency

In order to enhance the financial and digital literacy of young people, a meeting between students and representatives of the Financial Monitoring Agency of the Republic of Kazakhstan was held at IITU. The event was organized as part of the “Law and Order” initiative and aimed at preventing offenses in the field of information and financial security.

The speakers, employees of the Department of Economic Investigations for the city of Almaty, Nursultan Zheksembayev and Berik Aglakov, spoke about modern financial fraud schemes and criminal liability for dropper activities, mechanisms for protecting personal data, and methods of countering economic crimes in the digital environment. They informed students about common user mistakes online, ways to detect suspicious activities, and shared real examples of investigated cases.

A member of the Public Council of Almaty, Akezhan Kenesov, also addressed the participants, emphasizing the importance and value of holding such meetings. He urged students, as future IT specialists, to take an active role in promoting safe behavior among young people in the online environment.

The event was held in a businesslike and informative atmosphere. Students actively participated in the discussion, asked questions, and shared examples from their own experiences related to online fraud. The open-dialogue format contributed to a deeper understanding among the students of the importance of financial literacy and safe behavior in the digital space.
