A first-year student of the “Data Science” program (group IT3-2501DS) at the International Information Technology University (IITU), Arkhat Baimukhan, won two gold medals at the 46th World Armwrestling Championship held in Albena, Bulgaria.

In this prestigious tournament, which brought together about 1,500 athletes from more than 60 countries, Arkhat demonstrated a high level of preparation, strong will, and determination. Competing in the under 90 kg weight category, he secured confident victories and became a two-time World Champion.

This outstanding achievement is a source of pride not only for the athlete himself but also for the entire university. Arkhat honorably represented Kazakhstan and IITU on the world stage, underlining the importance of sports in student life.
