The International Information Technology University (IITU) continues to actively develop international cooperation within the systemic policy of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan on the internationalization of higher education. One of the most notable outcomes of this work was the successful completion of a double-degree program by IITU students at Hof University of Applied Sciences (Germany).

Amina Kenges, Edil Elkhan, Daria Korobkina, and Edige Akhtanberdi received diplomas from this prestigious European university, confirming both the high level of training of Kazakhstani students and the effectiveness of the academic mobility program.

The double-degree program with Hof University is offered to students of the “Cybersecurity” and “Computer Engineering and Software” programs. For three years, students study at IITU, and then spend one year in Germany.

“Double-degree programs are an investment in the future of our country. They allow students to simultaneously receive a quality education in Kazakhstan and abroad, gain unique international experience, and become competitive specialists in the global labor market,” noted Chairman of the Board - Rector, Professor Assylbek Issakhov.

Advantages of double-degree programs:

  • study under jointly developed curricula that meet both Kazakhstani and international standards;
  • international study and communication experience;
  • intensive language training;
  • immersion into a new cultural and educational environment;
  • obtaining two diplomas within the same study period;
  • competitiveness in both domestic and international labor markets;
  • advantages when applying to foreign universities for the next stage of education.

The development of double-degree programs aligns with the goals of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan to expand academic mobility, form a new generation of specialists with a global vision, and integrate Kazakhstan’s education system into the international academic space.
