On January 25, 2023, the International Information Technology University hosted Coursera Day, a seminar for universities aimed at demonstrating the methodology for implementing the Coursera for Campus educational platform for higher education institutions using IITU and KBTU as examples.

The seminar was organized jointly with Coursera representatives in support of the initiative of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan to introduce MOOCs to Kazakhstani universities and localize selected courses.

Along with Coursera representatives - Eduard Kan, Coursera's Director of Business Development in Central Asia and Siddhartha Nagar, Coursera's Client Manager - IITU and KBTU experts were speakers at the seminar. They shared their experience in implementing online courses from the best foreign universities in the educational process of Kazakhstani universities.

The seminar is aimed at future opportunities for students of all universities in Kazakhstan to transfer credits of completed online courses.

The participants of the seminar exchanged experience in implementing MOOCs, and ideas for solving important educational and methodological directly with Coursera representatives. IITU teachers and mentors shared the methodology for implementing the Coursera for Campus platform in the university's educational process.

At the end of the seminar, memorable prizes were awarded to students and teachers who completed the largest number of courses on the platform.
