The International University of Information Technologies summarized the results of a big sporting event - the Spartakiade of teachers and employees, dedicated to the 15th anniversary of the university.

The Spartakiade has become a good tradition, which IITU supports and develops. This year eight teams of departments and structural subdivisions competed in six sports (mini-football, volleyball, basketball, togyzkumalak, chess and table tennis).

The award ceremony began with a parade of teams. Under the sounds of fanfares and applause participants of the procession with a positive sports mood and enthusiasm presented their teams. Opening the ceremony, the Rector of IITU Askar Khikmetov noted that the development of mass sports and physical culture, the formation of a healthy lifestyle are an important component of the multifaceted life of the university staff.

"Faculty and staff actively participate in the Spartakiade and show good sports results. Our university is famous not only for producing highly qualified IT specialists, but also for its sporting achievements. We are proud of the students who perform well at international and national competitions and take high prize-winning places", - emphasized the IITU head.

In each sport there was strong competition, each participant tried to maximize skill and agility, they were actively supported by fans-colleagues.

"Thank you to the organizers of the Spartakiade and the management of the university for a bright sports festival. The faculty and staff gladly participate in it. This is a good tradition that gives a great charge of vigor before the new academic semester, brings the team closer together and strengthens the corporate spirit," said Oleg Vekselman, the Chief Judge of the competition.

The winner of the Spartakiade in the team competition and the owner of the main cup was the "Zhauynger" team. The second place was awarded to the team "Champion", the top three was closed by the team "SpaceX". According to the results of the Spartakiade also noted the best teams in sports. The winners and runners-up were awarded diplomas and valuable prizes.
