The IITU Department of Languages and Library held a round table dedicated to the 125th anniversary of Kanysh Imantaiuly Satbayev, the founder and first president of the Academy of Sciences of Kazakhstan, and an outstanding geologist.
During the event, students learned interesting facts about the life and scientific achievements of this great scholar. The speakers included:
Aspandiyar Omirbekov, Director of the Historical Museum of Satbayev University and a member of the Union of Writers of Kazakhstan, along with his colleagues Shynar Okasheva and Kynagul Ilesova.
Students performed songs and kyuis on the dombra, recited their own poetry, and took part in a quiz.
At the end of the event, certificates of appreciation and commemorative gifts were presented to the most active participants and distinguished guests.
Such gatherings help us gain a deeper understanding of our country's history and draw inspiration from great personalities!
