On April 27-28, 2024, a basketball tournament among universities and colleges was held within the framework of the ALMA CUP 2024 project with the support of the Youth Policy Department of Almaty.

ALMA CUP is a large-scale sports tournament including such team games as mini-football, basketball, volleyball and cybersport.

16 teams took part in the basketball tournament, and according to the results our university took the 1st place, beating such universities as Kazakh Ablai Khan University of International Relations and World Languages, Kazakh Leading Academy of Architecture and Civil Engineering (KazGASA), Turan and Kazakh Academy of Sports and Tourism(KazAST).
