A representative delegation of leading universities of the People's Republic of China visited IITU. The meeting was opened by the Vice-Rector for Global Partnership Evgenia Daineko. In her welcoming speech she emphasized the importance of establishing close ties between the universities of Kazakhstan and China in the context of modern challenges and opportunities in education and science. For the guests from the Celestial Empire also sounded a musical greeting performed by the student ensemble of Kazakh folk instruments "Kazyna", which broke the applause.

The participants of the conference were familiarized with the scientific and educational activities of the IITU, including those of Beijing Jiaotong University, Tsinghua University, Beijing University of Technology, Zhejiang University of Science and Technology, Sun Yat-sen University, China University of Science and Technology, University of Electronic Science and Technology of China, Southwest Jiaotong University, Nanjing University of Information Science and Technology and others. They were given an informative presentation about academic programs of IT specialists training, research projects, international relations and cooperation potential.

Foreign guests showed keen interest in mutually beneficial partnership with IITU. Prospects for cooperation in various areas were discussed, including: academic exchange of students and teachers; implementation of joint research, projects and educational programs; participation in scientific events.

During the communication, the parties expressed their readiness to support initiatives in these directions, as well as the exchange of experience and expansion of academic opportunities for students and teachers of both countries. At the end of the meeting a joint memorable photo was taken.
