IITU concluded a Memorandum of Understanding with the Southern Federal University.

Southern Federal University is the largest scientific and educational center in the South of Russia, located in the cities of Rostov-on-Don and Taganrog, which indicates the scale of the university and a wide range of tasks to be solved: the formation of the university as a leading center for training highly qualified specialists; the development of fundamental and applied research; inclusion in international research and educational partnership. Southern Federal University entered the prestigious international Times Higher Education ranking and took 17th place among 48 Russian universities noted in the ranking of the best universities in the world according to the British magazine Times Higher Education (THE), as well as in the 1001+ category of the ranking of the best universities in the world.

The purpose of the Memorandum is to strengthen academic and cultural links between two universities. Within the framework of cooperation, it is planned:

- student exchange;

- exchange of teachers and researchers;

- implementation of joint scientific research;

- development of a double degree program;

- organization of internships for employees and students.
