From July 8 to 13, 2025, the International Information Technology University (IITU) hosted a Summer School for students from Northwestern Polytechnical University (China). The project became a vivid example of successful international academic cooperation, bringing together digital technologies, intercultural dialogue, and a rich educational program.
Over the course of six days, participants delved into topics such as artificial intelligence, machine learning, 3D design, and virtual reality. Under the guidance of IITU’s professors and researchers, students took part in intensive workshops, analyzed real-world cases, and collaborated on project-based assignments. Special attention was given to the development of soft skills, critical thinking, and teamwork.
Beyond academics, the Summer School also served as a cultural platform. The Chinese students had the opportunity to explore Kazakh traditions, taste local cuisine, and take part in excursions to some of Almaty’s iconic sites - including the Central State Museum, the Museum of Folk Musical Instruments, the Botanical Garden, and the scenic Issyk Lake, which left a lasting impression with its natural beauty.
The program concluded with a formal certificate ceremony. The closing event featured traditional Kazakh kui performances by the national ensemble “Qazyna”, as well as performances by talented IITU students. The evening became the highlight of a week filled with learning, discovery, and mutual respect.
