The International Information Technology University hosted the first meeting of the Academic Council for the 2025–2026 academic year. At the meeting, the work plan of the Academic Council for 2025–2026, as well as the updated composition of the Council, were approved.
Council members reviewed the report of the Admissions Committee, approved the teaching load of the faculty, and identified disciplines to be implemented on the international platform Coursera. In addition, a decision was made to re-approve foreign scientific supervisors of doctoral students and to adjust dissertation research topics, confirming the university’s commitment to scientific development and international cooperation.
Special attention was paid to the introduction of the social GPA system, which will allow the assessment of students’ extracurricular and social activities, contributing to the development of their soft skills, leadership qualities, and civic responsibility.
In conclusion, Vice-Rector for Educational Work and Social Affairs, Dauren Kumarkhanovich Dyussebayev, emphasized the importance of the Address of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, delivered on September 8, 2025. He noted that the tasks outlined in the Address fully align with the university’s strategic directions. The university community unanimously supported this policy and expressed readiness for its implementation.
