On International Book Giving Day, a significant event took place at the university. Thanks to the initiative of the "Uly Mura" student organization, with the support of the library and the "International Students Club", new BookCrossing points have been introduced for book lovers!
At the official opening ceremony, Chairman of the Board – Rector Assylbek Issakhov congratulated everyone on International Book Giving Day and emphasized the importance of reading in personal development, critical thinking, and spiritual growth. In his speech, he highlighted that reading remains one of the most essential tools for self-improvement. Supporting the students' initiative, he was among the first to contribute to the BookCrossing shelf by donating books in multiple languages.
Students and faculty shared their favorite books and discovered new ones. BookCrossing provides a wonderful opportunity to share literature, expand knowledge, and cultivate a love for reading.
📍 Anyone interested in leaving a book and choosing a new one can do so by visiting the BookCrossing areas in the university library (5th floor) or Book Café (1st floor) and scanning the QR code.
